Blowing Kisses
Created for the 2025 Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens exhibition.
Blowing Kisses is about joy, playfulness, and love. Inspired by the story of Don Quixote, this large windmill creates a moment of fantasy within reality. The bold, reflective colours blend and change as it spins, making it ever-changing in all weather.

The Magpies Nest
The Magpies nest is an exploration in narrative utilizing colour, texture, sound, and movement in a variety of both 2d and 3d works. Jenna Winterton brings out an element of playfulness with some interactive elements and bold colours and textures.
Transforming the gallery space into a snapshot of the artists mind, with a wide variety of stories being told from folk lore and myth to personal narratives and experiences much like how a magpie collects small trinkets, this show gathers together many interconnected but independent pieces to create a unified treasure pile of art. The works are interwoven together through materials, found object and overlapping narratives.
The viewer is invited into the nest to see and play with all the treasures the artist has created and to read about the stories behind the pieces.

Carmen - L'amour Est Un Oiseau
Created in reaction to the Carmen song L'amour Est Un Oiseau. Before painting the I danced out the steps to understand the feeling of the movement instead of just a visual reference. The dancing continued during the painting process with pauses in between to dance and remind the body of the movement. Paintined in metallic paint the painting moves with the light around it meaning that although it's painted on canvas it still moves with the viewer as the walk past.

Cernunnos' Antler
Cernunnos is the Celtic god of wild things and the underworld. The antler like branch references the forest and wild animals, the beaded vine represents life and growth as well as the godly reamls. Three hanging flowers represent the life cycle one for birth one for life one for death as well as representing the father, mother, and child. All these elements come together to celebrate the beauty of life and death as well as the ethereal nature of wild things.

Light Blooms - Durham Street East - 2022
Best enjoyed on a sunny day with your favourite upbeat music on your headphones; Light Blooms is an installation by artist Jenna Winterton that encourages feelings of positivity and playfulness.
Stop and breathe while you take in the otherworldly flowers and light. Look around you and take a moment to notice your surroundings - see how the flowers interact with the buildings, with the sky, with the ground. This moment is unique, this moment is yours.
Utilising industrial materials and the power of nature, Jenna has created ethereally floral shapes that harness natural light and wind to make art that truly dances. The bold yet translucent colours play with the space, shifting the atmosphere every moment. In the midst of a busy city, Light Blooms offers the viewer a playful way to pause, take in their surroundings and breathe.
Part of Art in the City.
